You need an email address to register on Workforce Direct. Follow these simple steps to create one using Gmail — it is free and works on any smartphone.
This will take you directly to Google where you can create your free email address.
Create My Free Gmail AccountYou will see two boxes — one for your first name and one for your last name. Type your real name. This is what people will see when you send them an email.
Google will suggest an email address for you, or you can type your own. Your email address will end with @gmail.com.
A good email address uses your real name, for example:
Your password must be at least 8 characters long. It must be something only you know.
A good password mixes letters and numbers, for example: Thabo2024!
Google will ask if you want to add a phone number. Do this. It is important.
If you ever forget your password, Google will send a message to your phone so you can reset it. This is the easiest way to get back into your account.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "I agree". Your Gmail account is now ready.
You will be taken to your new inbox. It will be empty — that is normal.
